i always get told "omg you look so good in red" its because my skin is literally yellow. my skin has a bright olive undertone. in certain light i look jaundiced as fuck. that is the reason i look good in red. red and yellow are complimentary colors. it's because i was destined to be ronald mcdonald.
yesterday was saturday, and me, bot, dez, stacy, and dez's brother's girlfriend jen and childhood friend haley all gathered to watch season 2 of xo kitty. the first season was one of the random things we watched when we all worked together (it was because the same actress who plays dizzy from descendants plays the main character lmao) which led to us watching the movies that were like the prologue to the show. the movies were bad and i believe the first one was "to all the boys i loved before". it was about the fake dating trope but it wasnt drawn out enough for it to have any impact on me whatsoever. you can't make an hour and a half movie into a slow burn fake dating thing, especially because the whole plot and characters need to get established and stuff before they can start to fake date. if that makes sense??
anyway xo kitty infuriated all of us so badly that we all knew we had to hangout and yell at the tv while kpop songs play over the characters of the show making the most wack ass decisions ever. i cant wrap my brain around any of the choices they make and i CANNOT COMPREHEND the family plot in that show tbh. like i have no idea what she was doing with her family and i could not follow what kitty was trying to accomplish all season. it also involved a wlw cheating scandal and i've never been less excited about the characters being gay because it meant one of them was cheating on her gf. it's really like watching a car accident happen, you can't look away but you're also like omg?? the entire show is like an awful wattpadd koreaboo self insert fantasy BUT despite the show being bad its fun to yell about it with my friends, and dez made dino nuggies and mac n cheese while stacy made mozzarella sticks. me and bot brought grapes and some chips and dip lol. it was the most autism meal of all time. we even had kool aid jammers!!!
the day before that, bot and i did an engagement pic photoshoot on fremont street with our photographer friend benjamin!! it was so much fun to dress up like a lil bride and get awesome pics in the neon lights. i'm hoping that now that bot has seen me in an outfit that is VERY bride adjacent (whole ass shiro lolita dress and veil and everything) they will cry a little less on our wedding day in a year. i would feel really bad if they cried when they saw me because they wear a lot of makeup. but i also know that they cry all the time at everything (and i say that in the best way possible i literally love them for it), so i know they'll prob cry anyway. i mean, i probably will too, becuase i'm writing my own vows. my aim is actually to make people laugh, but they might cry too. maybe i will cry and maybe i'll be the only person laughing at my own jokes. YOU'LL HAVE TO COME TO OUR WEDDING TO FIND OUT NYAAHAAHA
i'll only post one pic of me driving with my jyuto nui because the aim is the use the pics from this photoshoot for our wedding invites and such, so i SHOULDN'T post them all of the internet and should keep them up my sleevies as a surprise for when we post about the invites :]
touken ranbu's 10th anniversary just happened and i FINALLY HAVE ONIMARU THANKS TO THEM GIVING OUT THE 100 SWORDS OMG. i am so fucking lazy and i just never bothered to get him from any past event, and the last round of login stamps they did, i forgot about until several days into it... so i didn't have enough to buy a sword with my stamps LMAOO but its ok cuz now oni boy is home at my citadel! also this was my fit for the anniversary day lol, i wore jiji tights but also my custom embroidered hasebe jacket! i cant believe this series has been in my life for a whole decade now!!!!
oh ya and let's apprecaite my tsuruyagen crumb: the touken ranbu wafer things we eat with the random cards from tkrb kai had these two in the last two i opened!
this is one of my rarepairs of all time tbh, i have some art and stuff people have done of them but it's so out there and almost no one ships it. so i've been gathering crumbs where i can for years. katsugeki was the BIGGEST fuel to the tsuruyagen fire that has ever existed honestly.
speaking of rarepairs, look at our lil jyujyu sanrio nuis at the hello kitty cafe at the fashion show mall! we got them my melody and kuromi sweets!!

i drew these microbial jyushi and jyutos for us and decided i needed EXTRA TEENY TINY STICKERS of them. i am so overjoyed how they came out lol, and i got shiny keychains of the same microbes. i had also drawn this like semi chibi art of them that bot really liked. i cant say im the biggest fan of this drawing but since they loved it, i also got some stickers and keychains made of that drawing too. I'M SO FUCKING OBSESSED WITH THIS, i love my fiancee's art so much, and since we're really the only people who ship this ever, we're the sole producers of all the art of them that exists. so it's really awesome to have this beautiful art of our own personal ship lmao. AHHHHH IT LOOKS SO FUCKING GOOD AAA!!! i finally feel like i have enough lil draiwngs and doodads of them to properly work on my jyushi/jyuto page, though i'm mostly at a loss for what kind of info to put on there. i can't post me and bot's entire roleplay on there obviously, its well over 40k words currently, but there's no other way to describe the details of this ship outside of completely going off about it. either that or basically saying absolutely nothing. which is probably the direction i will go lol.
i started working on a commission page on this site (i'm not linking it bc it's not done yet lol) because i've been enjoying making collage anime wallpapers and i figure why not do that for other people? except i'm bad with "commissions" and mostly just do it for free because it's fun. i also started building out the nui section of my site because it's gonna be a wholeeeeee thing. we just ordered a bunch of new nuis too... SO YEAH THERE'S MORE SITE STUFF COMIN AT YALL SOON!! i cant believe i have 20k views on my site, i'm very thankful to share all my interests and crazy ass hyperfixations with the world. i REALLY need to work more on my collections pages, too, but taking the pics for them takes a really long time lol. the transformers one is like... halfway there. then after i finish that i'll do my my little pony and midousuji collections because i can easily take pics for those!
also, just something i was randomly thinking about today, but i cant believe instagram used to be my favorite social media platform. i joined instagram in 2012 when it was really just a feed, your friends and family following you, and a dozen shitty filters. there were no ads and there was no algo. it was just straight up pictures and i love it. as you can tell, I REALLY LIKE TAKING PICTURES OF SHIT LOL. i love sharing and posting pictures of my daily life for my friends and family and followers to see. i love making friends THROUGH pictures, which happened to me all the time in the early days of instagram. it's just so sad to see how far gone the platform is and how far removed it is from the original concept of sharing photos with people. it's got to have had the worst platform decay of all modern apps, and yeah i genuinely consider it to be worse than facebook, tumblr, and twitter all combined. i've never had a more irrelevant feed that is so blatantly full of ads and fake content than i've had on instagram. every once and a while when i check the app, i'm reminded of just how far gone it is. nobody even feed posts anymore because it's considered to be embarassing, WHICH IS INSANE BC THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF THE APP. to share things. but no, i don't see anything my friends post ever, just ads and strange reposted videos and staged stuff that content creators are sponsoring. very sad imo.
