SO. my last post on here was more than a month ago. i let the whole site fall to the wayside while i got crazy busy in may and june has also been insane. i'll try not to go TOO DETAILED in this post because it's gonna have a lot of pictures lol!!!!!
LVLUP EXPO! BACK IN APRIL/MAY LOL! i loved this con because there were NO LINES. ive never been to a large scale sellout convention (conventions that have enough atendees that the US military tries to pay them to set up an army recruitment booth- and the con actually accepts) that didn't have fucking lines lol! its probably because i went to anime expo so many years and i am so used to standing in lines for more than half the con. the parking was abysmal but i had a great time. i got to cosplay as saiki and doppo and check two blorbos off my dream cosplay list!!!! on the last day i just wore a jelly candy toys coord and brought my shithead little jyuto nui with me. i got to hangout with so many friends on the first day and on the second day, i got to hang with cas and watch cody in gg pools, on the last day me bot and ren got peppermill together! overall a 100% fantastic con experience and i can't wait for next year! we watched doramigi win smash finals! he absolutely killed it!
right after the con i got weirdly sick.... i felt okay for almost a week after but i had a cough and a sore throat. this continued through the horse race tests tournament so me and bot watched it together instead of with family as a party as we originally intended... that was a GOOD THING because literally the next day we found out we both had covid. it was really mild for me (this is my sixth time having it lol, can you tell im immunocompromised and idk how to spell that word) so it went away fairly quick, but it came with the most annoying congestion that almost turned into an ear infection.
i was okay by mothers day and we went to the park and fed geese with my mom! i also got a bunch of my childhood video game discs resurfaced: rule of rose, haunting ground, silent hill 3 & 4, and guilty gear accent core +. i have been sad about not being able to play these games (stupid kid me and my sister didnt realize that you had to put them back in the box when you werent playing them and we put them on the carpet in front of the ps2 lol, they got scratched to shit and we had no idea that someday they would be worth thousands of dollars) so i had a ton of fun playing through my games again! i also got a tamagotchi uni and i love it!
now for the hard part of this post. on may 16, there was an active shooter at my work. without reavaling too much about my work, the place i work for has several locations around town, and the location right outside my house was the one where the shooter was. i was actually driving to a doctor's appointment with bot while it was happening so i was not at the building itself. but i have worked at this place for many years, and my coworkers are like family to me. four people were injured and one was fatally shot. i knew the person who was shot for 10+ years, and even though we were not close (saw each other every few months if that) the whole thing just gutted me. that is my home location, NEXT TO my actual home, and i really mean it when i say we are like family. the business is a local business and it fosters a sense of family among all of us so much. i'm really thankful for the first responders who helped the other people and for the other people in the building who assisted with the evacation. going there in the aftermath was awful. i'm also really thankful and grateful for my boss and my other coworkers in the marketing department who worked so well under pressure, and we were able to come together as a team to handle the situation as best we could. without naming him, i hope the person who lost his life rests in peace. he was truly an amazing person and hearing all the stories about him from coworkers who worked closer with him was heartbreaking. the community really came out and showed up for him and his family, and he is so loved. also, the entire city had a response to the whole situation, which i really appreciated. vegas is truly a small town with big city energy but only every now and then. the best way i can think to honor the person who lost his life is by paying attention to others- everyone says that he was always so invested with what others were doing and in their health and happiness. i'll remember him by being more like that and being more mindful of others. i always get so wrapped up in my own life but everyone around me matters so much in this universe!
i got to photograph my friends adia & chani's fashion brand, which was TRULY SO FUN! i don't want to post the pics here yet because they haven't been approved by the designers as my client, but i'll post them as soon as i can! i had a ton of fun going to this goth bar downtown and then to a cute claw game spot to take pics!! also, i pulled the magical girl blade in nucarnival lol, which i CAN post a picture of! now i just have to pull his new nun fit which i'm obsessed with lol.
STRAY KIDS TIME. back in like.... OCTOBER. we got tickets to see stray kids in san fancisco. then immediately we got tickets to the LA show as well, so this trip has been on my hype radar for so long lol. i got us an awesome hilton room (shoutout to hilton and my sister again) that faced coit tower and booked us all tickets up north! for the oracle park show, bot and i went with dez and kait, both of whom used to be my coworkers but have since moved to other jobs so we have just stayed in contact as friends!! i was so happy to go with not just the loml but also some of my closest friends who also love skz who i don't get to see all the time at work anymore!
i have so much to say about san francisco because I LOVE IT. BUT IT IS FUCKING COLDDDD THERE. like all the time, all year, its fucking cold. we saw the bridge and we even walked out on the bridge to take pics but i got too cold and needed to go back inside lol. we went to a place called ghiradelli square (like the chocolate) and i got a really delicious lobster roll and ate THE BEST FRIES I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. I SHIT YOU NOT IM STILL THINKING ABOUT THE FRIES. anyway we got to the concert hella early and our uber driver ruled. we lost our damn minds and made so many friends with the people around us and SCREAMEDDDD like i screamed. so much. i almost threw my light stick lol and bot dropped theirs during the last song JAJAJSAJ
we also went to the angelic pretty store and i finally bought the happy garland op that i've been eyeing for so long lol, i am a sucker for dresses in a white colorway honestly. we walked around chinatown and got various knickacks, we went to japantown (WE GOT A BOOTLEG BLACK BUTLER LUNCHBOX) and ate delicious food and all got matching bunny keychains! i watched bot and dez and kait get drunk on hotel room service drinks and soju while i sat and wrote my roleplay post LMAOOO and we also watched love on the spectrum at the hotel! I HAD SO MUCH FUN ON THIS TRIP. seeing skz for the first time after getting deep into their music last year, and seeing them with some of my closest friends, is just such a special experience that i'm always going to remember!!

THEN WE WENT AND DID IT AGAIN BUT IN LOS ANGELES! this time we went with brina who was just coming along for the vibes and to play elden ring in our fancy hotel LMAOOO but it was such a blast! as always we went to the del amo fashion center to go to animate and such and they had new touken ranbu merch which we were so excited about! i also got the slutty edmond standee who lives by the tv now! we ate croquettes, visited the bookstore, and i got some tamagotchi gashapons! THEN THE NEXT DAY WE WENT TO THE SECOND SKZ SHOW AND I PULLED THE NEW EDMOND CARD LIKE 15 MIN BEFORE THE CONCERT STARTED LOLL our seats were much closer and our view was amazing! i love sofi stadium honestly but also there was an audio error about 2/3 of the way into the concert and skz's mics de-synched from the background music, which made the songs sound so weird?? but luckily, we had already seen the messed up songs at the oracle park concert so it was still a great time! also now we have the skz crop top and hoodie because we truly cannot resist merch lol
whaut else went on ummmm.... we went to an ivantill cupsleeve even though neither of us has seen alien stage [standing man emoji] because our awesome hypmic merch dealer sam had some merch to sell to bot HAHAHA so we literally just went to the cupsleeve to grab boba and our hypmic merch, but we ended up running into a bunch of friends there and also someone else selling hypmic stuff [standing man emoji again] so it turned out to be a great time. we went to the fucking claw machine arcade thing next door and bot is really good at claw machines so THEY WON ALL THESE FUCKING MY MELODY AND KUROMI PLUSHES. for those who don't know, my melody and kuromi and jyushi and jyuto's respective sanrio characters in the hypmic/sanrio crossovers, which honestly truly fuels our ship more than any other canon content probably does, so we have the tendency to buy everything kuromelo related because to us it's also a jyujyu reference. so we basically went into the claw place and swept it for all the jyujyu merch they had lol.
i got a tiny CRT tv to play my PS2/gamecube games on, it was super cheap from a guy on offerup, i already covered it in stickers and i started a new gamecube animal crossing town! i also started a new playthrough of silent hill 4 since bot has never seen me play through it and doesn't know the plot, so im really hyped to show them my fav silent hill series game! i also re bought my childhood gigapets bit kitty because my family was too poor to afford a real tamagotchi lol, so instead i had a knockoff and i really loved it and i'm happy to have it again! i worked my ASS off on a big sales banquet presentation at work and since it was at the penthouse of a casino here we got to take nui pics on the penthouse balcony teehee.

june 19 was me and bot's 3rd anniversary and we decided to build a fort in our living room and eat snacks inside it and watch charisma house! we actually put a decent amount of effort into the construction of this thing lol and then immediately fell in love with it. since we are adults in our own house we can simply make the executive decision to....not take it down. i used to build forts as a kid and my mom would eventually be like okay yall, its been like 2 days, take the blankets down lol. but as adults? no. we like the fort and the fort STAYS UP. it has now been 10 days that we have been chilling in the fort. we sleep in it too! we took the top half of our mattress out of the bedroom and fucking put it in the fort so its extremely comfy now. normally my kotatsu goes in the middle of the living room but its literally 110 degrees outside rn so there is no fucking point in having a kotatsu out. the fort is nice and cool and we both just get to hangout in it and play games and watch youtube (all the pics from the fort have markiplier playing the secret of the mimic lmao) and it's just the best! i really adore this person with my whole heart and the past 3 years have been the best ever and i can't believe that by our anniversay next year, we will be married! our first and last anniversay as fiancees, kinda slays but kinda sad cause i LOVE being their fiancee, but im sure i'll love being their wife even more!!
anyways that's all the like. big shit that went on while i didn't update.... there's tons of random little things too which i will just post pics of. the wedding is Being Planned(tm) but i don't want to reveal anything crazy about it because it's going to be fun and i don't want to spoil too much about it! i've already shown like 5 people my wedding dress lol i've gotta stop. i'm playing a ton of chicken smoothie in my spare time cause i love the pride pets, me and bot's bad end roleplay has been CONSUMING MY MIND AND SOUL, i thought about doing art fight but tbh i am enjoying our roleplay too much to commit to anything else creative lol because i don't want to draw anything but our jyujyu bed end bullshit. all the kitties are doing well also! soon it's time for us to visit my mom in kernville for a little summer river rafting vacation! oh yeh and we're also going to a yaoi & yuri cupsleeve that our friends are hosting in mid july and we're part of a big dmmd cosplay group! i'm being ren and bot is being clear WHEEEE~ also, i've poured a ton of work into the jyujyu shrine/section of this website lately, so you can check it out and peep our crazy hypmic crackship if you're interested! aaaaanyweenie, here's a bunch of other random pics!
