i know it's been literal months since i wrote a blog, the recap is just so long that i am like omg it will be such a long post and i will have to use 100% of my brainpower to remember what the fuck went on, i can't even remember what i was doing two hours ago much less two MONTHS ago. i have to scroll through the pics on my phone to remember, SO I JUST HAVEN'T DONE IT BECAUSE MY MEMORY IS POOR

the new ARB event is literally a captain of the knights + member of the knights au!!!! AND GUESS WHO THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE!! IN MATCHING OUTFITS!! WITH INTERACTIONS!! AND MATCHING CARDS!!!
guys. GUYS
NOTHINGGGGG could have prepared me for this. when you ship a TRUE true organic crackship, the type where the two characters have ZERO ACTUAL INTERACTION OUTSIDE OF A FEW GLANCING POINTS IN HISTORY WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME SPOT, THIS IS FUCKING LIFE CHANGING!!!
me and my wife collect crumbs. the small, itty bitty pieces of jyujyu sprinkled throughout the hypmic franchise. most notably, we have one previous event in which jyushi and jyuto shared a card, and had a short interaction at a concert venue:
we also have this cover of the official hymic fanclub magazine where they're sitting together at a movie theater and jyuto is saving amanda from being dropped (we own this as the magazine and as a clear file lol):
we also got the crackship classic: them sharing a frame!!! it's just a few seconds of them standing next to one another in the hypmic anime, not saying a word to one another:
and, finally, their verses are back to back in the hypmic all stars song called "cross a line":
there was another event where jyuto's arm could be seen in one of jyushi's cards, and also some official arts in which MTC and BAT just happen to be next to one another (pretty rare because MTC is usually sandwiched by the bros and fling posse, and BAT is almost always between matenrou and DH, so literally the other 4 teams CONSTANTLY separate them in the official art, completely blocking them from ever just being in the same side of the picture together except on extremely rare occasions).
so, like i said, CRUMBS. TINY LIL CRUMBS OF NOTHINGNESS. and you know, that's like the joy and the fun of a crackship, it's pioneering in the wilderness with nothing but the clothes on your back, it's sailing an uncharted sea, it's free real estate. we just rewatched the movie 'the martian', and the way the main character describes his journey like "everywhere i go on this planet, i'm the first", i'm like yeah, being stranded alone on mars is EXACTLY like being a crackshipper. and it's FUN because you never ever expect to get anything ever, you're creating your own world.
SO I NEVER EXPECT ANYTHING. WHEN YOUR SHIP DOESN'T EXIST AND HAS NO REASON TO EXIST, I WOULD NEVER, EVER EXPECT ANYTHING. ALMOST ALL CHARACTERS IN HYPMIC HAVE SOME KIND OF CONNECTION OR INTERACTION, EXCEPT SPECIFICALLY JYUSHI AND JYUTO. THEY HAVE SOME REALLY POPULAR SHIPS WITH OTHER CHARACTERS TOO, SO YEAH!!! I NEVER EXPECTED THIS!!!!
it's like god gathered up all the tiny little crumbs we have collected to make them into one big beautiful cookie that will sustain us forever. it's the truest form of joy.
to say we're obsessed with this ship is an understatement. it's become an enormous part of our lives, we have several AUs and roleplays for them that we've written over 200k words in cumulatively, we talk about them every day. i have a whole portion of this site dedicated to them. we spend our money commissioning art of them. we have a WALL in our house dedicated to art and stuff of them. we create all the content because we never, ever thought we would get any. all the little graphics and piccies and stuff i use in this post are my own creation because nothing exists. and we are so obsessed with them. we are literally in the process of finalizing a jyujyu tattoo that we are both going to get. we never expected to actually get content of them. EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF ART OF THEM THAT EXISTS TOGETHER WAS COMMISSIONED BY US UNTIL TODAY. THIS DRAWING NOW EXISTS AND TO MY KNOWLEDGE THAT'S THE FIRST FANART OF THE TWO OF THEM OUTSIDE OF WHAT WE'VE MADE
and yet, now, here we are. i will live off this event for literal years. THEY GAVE US AN AU. i hope everyone who knows us and also knows hypmic saw this event and said to themself, damn, i bet those two cracked out freaks who ship jyushi and jyuto together are SO FUCKING HAPPY.
so yes, the jyujyu part of my site is going to be updated a lot in the very new future. nothing has motivated me more to create the 'canon content' gallery, because now we have more than we have ever had. i feel blessed. I AM BLESSED!! i also plan to translate the entire event, though i'm slow at it (it's been a very long time since i did anything beyond translating various songs and comics and i definitely need a kanji brush up, i have to constantly refer to my dictionary even though this was LITERALLY my major lol) but i will probably post the entire thing on the jyujyu portion of this site!!! and i will make kitbashes of the cards too!!!
